The Crossover Prep Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 87-42 defeat at the hands of Memorial. Crossover Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-23.
Among those leading the charge was Antonio Love, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalil Cotton, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Crossover Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-1 record this season. As for Memorial, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Crossover Prep and Riverside Indian will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Riverside Indian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Crossover Prep in Oklahoma (Riverside Indian is ranked 31st, while Crossover Prep is ranked 337th). Memorial will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sapulpa at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
