This season hasn't been kind to the Flathead Braves/Bravettes, who are still winless after their seventh game. They fell 60-50 to Glacier on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Flathead in their matchups with Glacier: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Flathead still got an impressive performance from Lyric Ersland, who scored 21 points along with three blocks and two steals. Ersland is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Thornsberry, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Flathead bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Glacier, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flathead will challenge Butte at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Butte presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Flathead in Montana (Butte is ranked 43rd, while Flathead is ranked 136th). Glacier's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hellgate at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hellgate will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
