Union Academy has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  take on the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 On Tuesday, Union Academy made easy work of Gray Stone Day  and carried off  a  20-5 victory.
  Seth Sandock looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks).
 At the plate,  Nick Henry was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Jeremiah Shine, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Metrolina Christian Academy put another one in the bag  on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let SouthLake Christian Academy onto the board and left with  a   19-0  win. That looming  19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Metrolina Christian Academy yet this  season.
  Bryson Josey and  Chase Kiker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Josey   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Meanwhile,  Kiker   struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with that  victory, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Thursday's   contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Union Academy has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Metrolina Christian Academy struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .484. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
