Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hagerstown walked away with it. They never let the Shenandoah Raiders get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on six straight.
Rylan Young was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Young wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Allison Stinson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.
Hagerstown's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Shenandoah, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-4.
As of now, neither Hagerstown nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
