This season hasn't been kind to the Bronson Eagles, who are still winless after their 14th contest. They took a serious blow against Chiefland on Friday, falling 58-29. Bronson has struggled against Chiefland recently, as their match on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Chiefland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Davies, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 steals. Davies hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyasia Bivins, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.
Bronson's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.4 points per game. As for Chiefland, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Bronson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chiefland will be playing at home against Riverside Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
