Bishop O'Dowd had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They put the hurt on the Moreau Catholic Mariners with a sharp 28-7 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Bishop O'Dowd was led to victory by Lamar Ellis and Christian Cermenelli-Johnson. Ellis rushed for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Cermenelli-Johnson threw for 123 yards and two TDs. Ellis also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Dragons are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

Bishop O'Dowd didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jess Brown and Ian Garrick. Another thorn in Moreau Catholic's side was Zay Latu, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Bishop O'Dowd's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Moreau Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
