The Windthorst Trojans had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 44-14 win over Electra. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-6.
It was another big night for Brock Belcher, who threw for 326 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. Kolby Teakell did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 86 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Windthorst's victory was their fourth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-7 Petrolia and 3-6 Electra (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 39.7% over those games). As for Electra, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Windthorst will take on Lindsay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lindsay is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Electra does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
