Westview is 4-0 against Peabody since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Westview Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Peabody Golden Tide at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Westview is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Peabody in Tennessee (Westview is ranked 18th, while Peabody is ranked 80th).
Westview managed to keep up with Gibson County until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Westview suffered a tough 63-39 loss at the hands of Gibson County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Westview has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kylee Alexander, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlee Brent, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Peabody beat Dyer County 55-50 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Peabody.
Westview's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Peabody, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Westview against Peabody in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 as the team secured a 60-28 win. With Westview ahead 38-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
