It's playoff time, and Canyon Lake had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Eastside Early College Panthers get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Thursday. Considering Canyon Lake has won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Carter Williams was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Williams was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Michael Anderson was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Hayes Holladay, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Canyon Lake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win (which was Canyon Lake's sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Eastside Early College, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Canyon Lake wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Eastside Early College on the 1st. The Panthers does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
