Even though the Nevada Union Miners scored an imposing 67 points on Wednesday, the Ponderosa Bruins still came out on top. Ponderosa secured a 71-67 W over Nevada Union. That's another feather in the cap for Ponderosa, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Marco Moorman, who scored 19 points along with six assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Lake Liebscher, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
The win got Ponderosa back to even at 11-11. As for Nevada Union, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-10.
Ponderosa will head out on the road to challenge Placer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
