Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Durant walked away with it. They never let the Lake Gibson Braves get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Cougars have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Owen Franklin looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Durant is 8-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Shawn Graves, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Brady Kelley was another key player, scoring two runs.

Durant's record is now 14-8. As for Lake Gibson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Durant will challenge Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Lake Gibson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
