Centennial has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge The Northview Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial will be strutting in after a win while Northview will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Centennial got the win against North Springs by a conclusive 32-7.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Northview, who are still winless after their ninth game. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 28-7 walloping at the hands of Cambridge on Friday. While losing is never fun, Northview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Cambridge is ranked 165th).
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Northview, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Centennial against Northview in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 42-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Centennial since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
