Basketball Game Preview: Fullington Academy Trojans vs. Crisp Academy Wildcats

The Fullington Academy Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Crisp Academy Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Fullington Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.

Fullington Academy will head into Tuesday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Highland Christian Academy on Tuesday. Fullington Academy breezed by Highland Christian Academy to the tune of 77-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Trojans have posted since December 12, 2024.

Fullington Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Will Sangster, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 20 boards, and Cutter Tharpe, who posted 31 points. Sangster is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Sangster, who put up seven points in addition to ten boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Crisp Academy came up short against Westwood on Friday, falling 63-42. Crisp Academy hasn't had much luck with Westwood recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Crisp Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Fullington Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Everything came up roses for Fullington Academy against Crisp Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 64-35 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Crisp Academy's Tucker Ellenberg, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
