North Schuylkill took their game on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-21 win over Shenandoah Valley. Given North Schuylkill's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Shenandoah Valley is ranked 664th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Schuylkill was led to victory by Zane Zulkowski and Jack Keiter. Zulkowski scored ten points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while Keiter scored 12 points along with three steals. The game was Keiter's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Tyrone Chambers was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
North Schuylkill's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Shenandoah Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
North Schuylkill will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lehighton at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Shenandoah Valley will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Blue Mountain at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Blue Mountain's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
