Ord stacked a fifth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Centura 35-7 on the road. Given Ord's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Centura is ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dylan Hurlburt looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 48 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Trent Mccain was another key contributor, rushing for 129 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Cedar Catholic fell victim to Norfolk Catholic's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Knights 41-0. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Ord's win was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.7 points per game. As for Cedar Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Ord has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 279 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cedar Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 192.1 per game. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
