King is 1-9 against North Shore since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The King Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the North Shore Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully King is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Shore in Texas (King is ranked 26th, while North Shore is ranked 252nd).
Last Friday, King was able to grind out a solid win over West Brook, taking the game 48-36. The win was just what King needed coming off of a 54-30 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, North Shore earned a 52-42 victory over Kingwood on Friday. The victory was just what North Shore needed coming off of a 48-22 defeat in their prior contest.
King pushed their record up to 21-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for North Shore, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-12.
Everything came up roses for King against North Shore in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 82-44 victory. With King ahead 44-20 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
