If the Century Jaguars were feeling good off their 57-30 takedown of the North Salem Vikings on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Century received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 66-51 to Putnam.
Despite the loss, Century still got an impressive performance from Kami Carmean, who scored 17 points. The contest was Carmean's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Loza, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Century's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Putnam, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Century will head out on the road to face off against Gresham at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Gresham is ranked 184th, while Century is ranked 180th). Putnam and La Salle will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
