The White Knoll Timberwolves will venture away from home to take on the Fort Dorchester Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. White Knoll is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season.
White Knoll is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since December 3, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of River Bluff by a score of 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Timberwolves have suffered against the Gators since February 11, 2020.
Despite the loss, White Knoll saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bryson Schofield dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Schofield is becoming a predictor of White Knoll's success: when he posts at least ten boards the team is 3-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Peyton Jennings was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fort Dorchester ended up a good deal behind Ashley Ridge on Friday and lost 71-53. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
White Knoll will have to contain Jordan Wright as he made an impact in Fort Dorchester's last game. He went 8 of 15 on his way to 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 20 points gave Wright a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maricious Dawson, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points and five boards.
Even though they lost, Fort Dorchester smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive contests.
White Knoll's record is now 8-7. As for Fort Dorchester, their record is now 6-9.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: White Knoll has been crazy accurate this season, having drained 88.2% of their shots per game. It's a different story for Fort Dorchester, though, as they've only made 34.4% of their field goals this season. Given White Knoll's sizable advantage in that area, Fort Dorchester will need to find a way to close that gap.
