West Forsyth and the Raiders are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The West Forsyth Titans' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Reagan Raiders at 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd. West Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully the Raiders likes a good challenge.
Even though Glenn scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, West Forsyth still came out on top. West Forsyth strolled past the Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 70-56. Given West Forsyth's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Bobcats are ranked 343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West Forsyth's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Cameron White, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds, and Jacari Brim, who scored 20 points along with two blocks. Brim has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jones, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Reagan came up short against the War Eagles on Tuesday and fell 57-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Reagan has scored all season.
West Forsyth is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Reagan, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8.
West Forsyth beat the Raiders 63-56 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Forsyth since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
