The Mater Academy Charter Lions won the last time they faced the Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Mater Academy Charter came out on top against Archbishop Carroll by a score of 56-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mater Academy Charter.
Mater Academy Charter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sebastian Tello, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ethan Davis, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Mater Academy Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Archbishop Carroll, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mater Academy Charter will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Doral Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. Archbishop Carroll will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Palmer Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
