The biggest upset of the week belonged to Phillipsburg, who took down 97th ranked Phillipsburg, 27-7.
Hunterdon Central moved up to 88 from 117 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mid-State 38 - Delaware. The Red Devils climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Stateliners 27-7.
Phillipsburg's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Troxell threw for 91 yards and Anthony Guarino had 42 yards receiving. On the ground Holden Connell chipped in 71 yards. Alex Martin helped Phillipsburg's passing attack out by catching one ball for 24 yards.
5-foot-8 quarterback ED TRIMPERT of Hillsborough is the league leader in passing yards this season with 527. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Hunterdon Central's Jason Cabinda has rushed for 698 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ryan Dunleavy. The Hunterdon Central star has 20 catches for 284 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Union takes on Franklin. At the moment, the Farmers are in second, while the Warriors are in fifth.
Elizabeth extended the longest winning streak in Mid-State 38 - Delaware this week by beating Bridgewater-Raritan, 39-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
