Everything went their way against Cherokee on Tuesday as Johnson City made off with a 53-33 win. This was payback for Johnson City, who suffered a 64-32 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Collin Corpus, who scored 10 points along with 8 assists. Johnny Slawinski was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got Johnson City back to even at 3-3. As for Cherokee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Johnson City will face off against Thrall at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in Thrall's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Cherokee, they will take on Brookesmith at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
