Lakeland had a rough outing against Grassfield two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Lakeland managed a somewhat close 6-0 victory over King's Fork.
Meanwhile, Hickory suffered a grim 7-29 defeat to Grassfield last Friday. This match was a close 7-9 at the break, but unfortunately for Hickory it sure didn't stay that way.
Lakeland's win lifted them to 2-6 while Hickory's loss dropped them down to 2-6. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
