Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Cardozo Clerks 71-11. Winning may never get old, but the Ramblers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Eastern's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madisyn Butts, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals. Butts is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanaia Martin, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Eastern was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Eastern is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.9 points. As for Cardozo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Eastern and Cardozo will both be playing Dunbar the next time they take the court. Cardozo will host Dunbar at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Eastern will host them at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th.
