The Eldorado Sundevils struggled with assists on Thursday (the Chaparral Cowboys had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Eldorado took a 51-37 bruising from Chaparral. Eldorado has not had much luck with Chaparral recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Eldorado lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Robert "RJ" Waddell, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Waddell is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 18 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamarion Durant, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Chaparral's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Qualib Ghallab, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Ghallab is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Bard, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Chaparral, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-17.
Eldorado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chaparral also has no future games currently scheduled.
