Junction has gone a perfect 3-0 against San Saba recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Armadillos at 5:00 p.m. Junction is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Junction easily dispatched Leakey on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Eagles fell just short of Mason by a score of 7-5 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since February 26th.

Alicia Villanueva put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Villanueva was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
In other batting news, Catalina Salinas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniella Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, San Saba was not able to break out of their rough patch last Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Harper, falling 28-1.
San Saba saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MJ Cantu, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run. Zoey Turner also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Junction's record now sits at 6-12. As for San Saba, their record is now 0-11.
Junction got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against San Saba by a conclusive 18-1 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Armadillos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
