After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sherman Oaks CES, Vaughn was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They strolled past the Fulton Jaguars with points to spare, taking the game 50-35. Vaughn got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Siddiq Mumin out in front who went 7 for 15 en route to 19 points in addition to six boards and five assists. That's the most assists Mumin has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ruben Herrera, who posted ten points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robert Udave, who scored nine points. Aaron Calica was another key player, putting up seven points.
Vaughn's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13. As for Fulton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Vaughn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-43 defeat against East Valley on the 31st. Fulton has also already played their next contest, a 56-34 loss against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences on the 31st.
