The York/Pavilion will be playing at home against the Oakfield-Alabama/Elba Aggies at 7:00 p.m. York/Pavilion will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Two Thursdays ago, York/Pavilion was able to grind out a solid win over Notre Dame, taking the game 25-18.
York/Pavilion found their leader in underclassman Parker Bonefede, who threw for 187 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. York/Pavilion also got a significant boost from Carl Szczech, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
York/Pavilion's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Joe Munoz and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They claimed a resounding 31-0 victory over Geneseo/Mount Morris at home.
Austin Pangrazio went supernova for Oakfield-Alabama/Elba, rushing for 134 yards and four touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Avery Watterson, who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Their wins bumped York/Pavilion to 5-1 and Oakfield-Alabama/Elba to 4-3.
York/Pavilion was taken down by Oakfield-Alabama/Elba 41-6 when the teams last played back in September. Will York/Pavilion have more luck at home instead of on the road?
