Baseball Recap: Eno River Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Eno River Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past the River Mill Jaguars 11-9. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Orren Sievert, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Eno River Academy is undefeated when Sievert posts two or more runs, but 1-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kai Norcross, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Eno River Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for River Mill, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

River Mill has already played their next game, a 12-1 loss against Chatham Charter on the 16th. Hopefully Eno River Academy paid attention to the Jaguars' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
