After flying high against Capitol Encore Academy last Thursday, New Life Christian Academy came back down to earth. The New Life Christian Academy Monarchs took an 85-80 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elevation Prep Academy Honey Badgers. Mason is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. LaShaude McElvine was another key player, going 6 of 15 en route to 16 points and three steals.
Even though they lost, New Life Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.
HARVEY BEDELL had a dynamite game for Elevation Prep Academy, going 8 for 13 on his way to 25 points and four steals. Those 25 points gave BEDELL a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of DEMARCUS RICHARDSON, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and four steals.
