The Windthorst Trojans won the last time they faced the Mineral Wells Rams, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Windthorst came out on top against Mineral Wells by a score of 59-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Windthorst.
Mineral Wells lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cadence Colwell, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kahlea Samples, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Windthorst is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Mineral Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windthorst will stay at home for another game and welcome Jacksboro at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Jacksboro will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Mineral Wells will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sanger at 12:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
