Michigan Lutheran Seminary extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Kerin Gardner. The Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals walked away with a 49-42 victory over the Caro Tigers on Thursday with plenty of help from Gardner, who went 6-for-13 en route to 20 points and eight steals. Those 20 points gave her a new career-high.
Another player making a difference was Olive Wakefield, who posted six points along with five assists and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Shayler McIntyre and Normandy Geiger certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. McIntyre dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Geiger shot 42% from the field to rack up 12 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. With that strong performance, Geiger is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.
Michigan Lutheran Seminary's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Caro, they moved to 14-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
