Basketball Recap: Torey Baisden and Gordon Davis Secure Win for Therrell

Therrell came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down the Hapeville Charter Hornets 55-38 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-30 back in January.

Therrell was led to victory by Gordon Davis and Torey Baisden. Davis went 7 of 13 en route to 24 points, while Baisden went 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 24 points gave Davis a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Hapeville Charter still got an impressive performance from Lyndale Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. That was a full 44.7% of Hapeville Charter's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Person, who had eight points and six rebounds.

Therrell's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. As for Hapeville Charter, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Therrell has already played their next game, a 75-54 victory against Washington on the 31st. As for Hapeville Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-51 loss against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate on the 31st.
