HAVELOCK, N.C. - the Rams scored 28 points in the second quarter to secure a big 48-0 victory over Topsail (Hampstead, N.C.) on Saturday.
Havelock scored on a
Derrell Scott touchdown run, a defensive touchdown, a touchdown pass by
Travis Sabdo to
Kyran Bowman and a touchdown run by Scott in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Sabdo to
Michael Bowman in the first quarter, HHS was up 41-0 at the half.
The Rams grew their lead to 48 points entering the fourth quarter. Havelock scored once in the quarter on a
Taylor Woods touchdown run.
With the win HHS extended its winning streak to 12 games. Havelock defeated West Craven 21-7 last week.
Havelock's standout player in the win was Sabdo. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
Havelock had given up an average of 5.2 points prior to the contest. Topsail's zero points were below their season average of 3.5 per game.
