Linfield Christian's rough 40-16 loss to Quartz Hill might stick with them for a while. Linfield Christian's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Linfield Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is John Reynoso. Despite the final result, he rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 38 receiving yards.
Quartz Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adonyss Currie led the charge by picking up 188 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Currie was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 67 yards. Quartz Hill also got a significant boost from Jaden Graham, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 103 yards.
Linfield Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Quartz Hill, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
Linfield Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Quartz Hill will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ramona at 7:00 p.m. Ramona is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
