The St. Francis Red Raiders pushed their score all the way to 66 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of East Meadow by a score of 69-66.
Despite the loss, St. Francis still got an impressive performance from Jeremiah Neely, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds. Those 28 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Edwards, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, St. Francis were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for East Meadow, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
St. Francis won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Kennedy Catholic on December 29, 2023. East Meadow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
