Baseball Recap: Questa Wins Going Away Against Mora

Questa barely beat Mora the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Rangers/Rangerettes on Monday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Ricardo Leon Jr. made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Questa is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-9 otherwise. Leon Jr. was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Questa got a massive performance out of James Garcia, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The Wildcats are 4-2 when Garcia posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-8 otherwise. Remington Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Questa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Questa's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Mora, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Questa will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rangers/Rangerettes: the pair will be back at it again later today.
