The Dublin Coffman Rocks will square off against the Hilliard Darby Panthers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Dublin Coffman knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Hilliard Darby likes a good challenge.
Dublin Coffman barely beat Worthington Kilbourne the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rocks put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 15-8 win on Thursday. Fans of the Rocks have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
DeLaney Makuh made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Makuh was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Dublin Coffman let Kaley Dosch and Payton Winner run wild. Dosch went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI, while Winner went 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Winner is crushing it when it comes to home runs: she's launched at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Myla Foust, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
Dublin Coffman lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hilliard Darby, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over Bishop Watterson on Wednesday.
Lorelai Gum was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Dublin Coffman pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 11 runs thus far. As for Hilliard Darby, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Dublin Coffman skirted past Hilliard Darby 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will the Rocks repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
