City of Life Christian Academy had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 4-1 to make it four. They enjoyed a cozy 72-55 victory over the Southland Christian FLAMES. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 97-69 win the FLAMES walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

City of Life Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samuel Perez, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine assists. Perez has been hot recently, having also posted five or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Manlove, who shot 50% from the field en route to 16 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

City of Life Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

As for Southland Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Southland Christian had strong showings from Kedwin Hawkins, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds, and Christian Rodriguez, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 18 points. Javon Chavez was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

Coming up, City of Life Christian Academy will head out to square off against Lake Nona at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' defense better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 62.2 points per game this season. As for Southland Christian, they have already played their next game, a 72-71 defeat against Pathways on the 3rd.
