It was a good run, but The Garrison Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 35-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Timpson. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Garrison in their matchups with Timpson: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Garrison still got an impressive performance from Brayden Davidson, who threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Javien Black, who rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Garrison's loss dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Timpson, their win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0.
Garrison will square off against Leon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 830th, while Garrison is ranked 253rd). As for Timpson, they will be playing at home against Corrigan-Camden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
