The Connetquot T-Birds gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They really took it to Miller Place for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-14 win at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-10.
Ava Zicchinelli and Mari Holmes certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Zicchinelli scored 8 points, while Holmes scored 6 points.
Connetquot's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Miller Place, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Connetquot does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Miller Place will look to defend their home court on Friday against Deer Park at 4:00 p.m.
