In what's become a running theme this season, the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lighthouse Baptist Academy 39-6 on the road. The win was just what Aletheia Christian Academy needed coming off of a 49-21 defeat in their prior game.
Aletheia Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Violet Martin out in front who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. Martin has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Davis, who scored five points along with seven steals.
Aletheia Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Lighthouse Baptist Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Aletheia Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Gladiators at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Gulf Pointe Latin is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Lighthouse Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
