Football Recap: Harlem Piles Up the Points Against Belvidere North

Harlem had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Belvidere North Blue Thunder 44-6. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hari Young had another great game (as she tends to do), rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Her rushing production has been exceptional as that marked her fifth straight game with at least 115 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Harlem was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Harlem didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayleigh Dunbar and Katelyn Blake.

Harlem's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Belvidere North, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
