The Purdue Broad Ripple Lynx scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Central Christian Academy 65-43. The win was a breath of fresh air for Purdue Broad Ripple as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Purdue Broad Ripple can attribute much of their success to Nate Mahome, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Bacon, who scored 20 points.
Despite the defeat, Central Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Josiah Riggins dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Riggins scored 15 or more points. Jordan Worthen was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five steals.
Purdue Broad Ripple's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Central Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Purdue Broad Ripple will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on GEO Next Generation at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Central Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Herron at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Herron comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
