2A Tri-Peaks recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A Tri-Peaks this week, Florence beat Strasburg 26-20. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Huskies.
Florence and the Indians played the closest game in the league this week, with Florence eventually emerging with a 26-20 victory. Zach Hoxie threw for 193 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 168 yards in the win.
Jeremy Nix's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Hoxie contributed 168 yards. Jeremy Nelson helped Florence's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 49 yards.
The Huskies' dynamic duo of Hoxie and Lane Masar proved to be unstoppable against Strasburg, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Nelson helped Florence's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 49 yards.

Draven Adame was a key player and the best on defense this week as Lamar lost to Kent Denver. The 5-foot-11 junior pulled down 1 interception.
Alamosa's Marco Garcia and Bailey Garcia have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Garcia has thrown for 1,142 yards this season, while Garcia has 33 catches for 667 yards. Florence's Hoxie leads the league in rushing yards with 1,157.
The Huskies' Masar needs only 72 yards against Brush next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Masar has rushed for 928 yards on 116 carries so far this year.
Manitou Springs took down Jefferson 49-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Johnny Swanson threw for 77 yards and ran for 85 yards during the win.
