Alcoa put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 47-0 victory over the Heritage Mountaineers. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tornadoes just coasted through the last quarter.
Thomas Manu had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 186 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Alcoa's leading receiver Jacolby Cooper was Manu's top target yet again, picking up 34 receiving yards, while also rushing for 38 yards and one score.
Alcoa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Micah Jones and Demauri Dubose. Alcoa got some further help from Kenny Harris: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (4.5 for loss).
