The Treutlen Vikings lost against the Swainsboro Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Treutlen was dealt a 93-15 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Treutlen has scored all season.
Swainsboro's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tanyia Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 30 points and 20 rebounds. Williams has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Wynn, who scored 27 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Treutlen's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Swainsboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Treutlen and the Eagles will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Swainsboro, they will head out on the road to square off against the Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak.
