Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Chillicothe Hornets, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 51-6 defeat at the hands of St. Pius X on Friday. Chillicothe was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.
Cayden Larson threw for 46 yards on five of 12 attempts. On the ground, Silas Midgyett rushed for 53 yards.
Chillicothe now has a losing record at 5-6. As for St. Pius X, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Chillicothe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Pius X will take on Maryville at TBD on Friday. Maryville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
