Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freedom). They blew past the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack 74-54 on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Cosumnes Oaks lost, don't look at Lance Datoy. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 12 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. Datoy continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Devin Jones was another key player, putting up seven points along with six assists and four steals.

Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Freedom didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-56 defeat against Heritage on the 17th. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-51 loss against Lodi on the 17th.
