Volleyball Recap: Upper Cape Cod RVT Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Nigella Johnson and Sophia Lopes

Upper Cape Cod RVT came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Bristol County Agricultural Chieftains. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Chieftains: they've now lost seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-20.

Upper Cape Cod RVT's loss came despite strong showings from Sophia Lopes and Nigella Johnson. Lopes had ten digs and four aces, while Johnson had 20 digs. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 18 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Upper Cape Cod RVT's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Bristol County Agricultural, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Upper Cape Cod RVT will head out on the road to square off against Southeastern RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bristol County Agricultural, they will take on Wareham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
